<title>Open ceremony for the first and largest community-led electric fence in NE China</title>
    <link>https://china.wcs.org/News/Latest-News/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/25104/Open_ceremony_for_the_first_and_largest_community-led_electric_fence_in_NE_China.aspx</link>
<description>For centuries, farmers in Northeast China have had to contend with wild boar that raid their fields to eat corn, bean, and millet, the basis of many farmers&amp;rsquo; livelihoods. Many farmers call for a reduction in wild boar numbers, but this species is a main prey resource for tigers. To alleviate this conflict, WCS&amp;nbsp;started a community-based electric fence program&amp;nbsp;to reduce farmers&amp;rsquo; agricultural losses to wild boar and support coexistence.

    <link>https://china.wcs.org/News/Latest-News/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/6692/Wildlife_Guardian_APP_Version_II.aspx</link>
<description>By using the computer guided species identification function and expert-assisted species identification, users can identify wildlife species more quickly and efficiently than more traditional methods of using paper field guides. With the new and improved second version of the app, the number of species under the computer guided identification has increased to 358. Furthermore, we&#39;ve added two new modules in the latest version: &quot;simplified search&quot; and &quot;product search,&quot; which adds even more flexibility to the app as well as significantly improving the users&#39; overall experience.</description>
